Phil is a medievalist and a brilliant GM in his own right, having run Ars Magica and the Middle Earth Roleplaying Game by Iron Crown for decades. Few match him in knowledge of the Tolkien legendarium.  He is a published author of period fiction and a masterful storyteller.

Phil is a relative newcomer to the FATE system, but as published game designer he has taken to it easily.  He is also a newcomer to this campaign and a welcome addition.
