Jason's passion for the Tolkien legendarium is what led our gaming group to take up the FATE of the Rings game.

​A fan of sword and sorcery fantasy stories, and in particular, those taking place in Tolkien's setting of Middle-earth, Jason expressed to our gaming group a desire to play a Tolkien-themed game decades ago.  Until we discovered a satisfying gaming system for the legendarium, Jason explored other sword and sorcery games, such as Exalted, Dungeons and Dragons, and others, but none proved as satisfying as our FATE of the Rings game.
